Pavilions Hotels & Resorts guests can now use 40+ cryptocurrencies to pay for their stay, including BTC and ETH. The service will be available from July 7th.
According to a recent press release, Pavilions Hotels & Resorts has partnered with cryptocurrency trading platform Coindirect to offer its customers’ payment options for digital assets. Guests at the hotel group can choose from more than 40 different virtual currencies to book their accommodations, two of which are the two with the greatest market value – Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Jesse Hemson-Struthers, CEO and co-founder of Coindirect, pointed out the benefits of working together:
“We pride ourselves on providing partners a platform for instant secure payments with over 40 cryptocurrencies. Guests can take advantage of paying in the cryptocurrency of their choice, based on the currency and location they are situated in at the time of booking, offering more freedom and a contemporary, personalized service.”
In turn, Gordon Oldham, founder, and owner of Pavilions Hotels & Resorts believes guests appreciate the flexibility of payment. He also revealed that the hotel group is “proud to lead the industry in the digital world with this exciting new encrypted payment method.”
In addition, The Pavilions Residences in Phuket and Niseko will also accept digital assets for property sales. The implementation is to be activated from the 7th of July and is marked as an option on the official website of the hotel group.
Pavilions Hotels & Resorts recently announced the opening of new hotels in Phuket, Thailand, and Palawan, Philippines. As a result, the product portfolio has expanded to 14 locations worldwide, including exotic travel destinations such as Bali, the Himalayas, Mongolia, and Niseko as well as major European cities.
