With the approach of Web 3.0, the two respective industry giants Google and Dapper Labs are working together to increase support for blockchain.
Google Partners with Blockchain Industry Giant
On Tuesday, Google Cloud announced its partnership with blockchain industry giant Dapper Labs. The transaction revolved around the support and scalability of Dapper Labs’ blockchain process. Google’s cloud service infrastructure will support streaming operations and expansion.
This move is because the Flow network hosts dozens of applications, including NFT giants NBA Top Shot and CryptoKitties. In addition to applications, the network also has more than 2,000 developers. This new partnership enables these developers to access nodes with lower latency through Google Cloud Services.
As the digital world turns to Web 3.0, internet giants are trying to find their own niche markets. The latest move from Google and Dapper Labs has given it a developer-friendly shine. However, it still doesn’t deal with crypto mining. Nonetheless, this new development enables the selection of preferred regions to operate its platform. This means that you can choose according to regional energy consumption.
According to Janet Kennedy, vice president of Google Cloud North America, this development gives Dapper Labs the support and scalability it needs in this phase of industry growth.
“It’s really about helping them with rapid and sustainable growth,” says Kennedy. “Blockchain technology is becoming more and more mainstream. So companies like Dapper need scalable, secure infrastructure to grow their business, and even more importantly, support their networks.”
The New Chapter for Blockchain
With the huge increase in non-fungible tokens over the past year, the blockchain and crypto industries have felt this shift. According to Dapp Radar, users on the Dapper network have been making 500,000 to 1 million transactions per week for the whole summer. During this time, the platform developed into the fourth largest platform in this area.
The popular NBA Top Shot series has generated sales of nearly $700 million in just one year of existence. The new partnership with Google hopes to expand Top Shot and other NFTs that run on Flow.
The deal between Google and Dapper is the latest move the tech giant recently took in the crypto space. Google recently approved crypto advertising as part of a new policy.
