German football club FC Bayern Munich has joined an Ethereum-based blockchain platform oriented toward fantasy football. Bayern Munich enters the world of now-trendy virtual football. The German sports club is to follow other famous soccer teams in Sorare – an Ethereum-based fantasy soccer digital platform.
According to a recent report, Bayern will be part of the block chain platform alongside Juventus, PSG, Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid.
This is a step in the right direction as the German club looks to be at the forefront of innovation to offer Bayern Munich fans new experiences.
This is not the club’s first rodeo in the blockchain ecosystem. About a year ago, the German professional football club announced a partnership with the blockchain platform, Stryking Entertainment. The partnership was made to produce digital collectables of the team’s players. The digital cards formed a part of a fantasy league-style challenge which were both collectable and playable.
In the official report the Football club added that each card is unique and backed by blockchain technology. Fans can now earn rewards weekly on the blockchain platform.
Sorare is a global unique fantasy football game. Also, the platform allows users to make friends around the world and win rewards every week in form of new cards and ether. The blockchain platform is on the back of reinventing fantasy football and card cooperation.
Users can particulate in the transfer market and get a starting player of 10 player cards to start a team whenever they sign-in to the platform for the first time.
