Binance Launches New Fiat On-Ramp for the Ghanaian Cedi (GHS)

Binance, the world’s leading blockchain and cryptocurrency infrastructure provider with a financial product suite that includes the largest digital asset exchange by volume, today has launched a fiat on-ramp for the Ghanaian Cedi (GHS) on Binance.com.

To further push the commitment to increasing the freedom of money, from today and with immediate effect, Binance users in Ghana are now able to deposit Cedi (GHS) via mobile money into their Binance wallet and buy crypto, providing a new and competitive fiat gateway for Ghana.

After depositing funds to Binance, users will be able to buy crypto via cash balance. Users can now buy BTC, BUSD, ETH, and BNB with GHS.

Binance remains committed to providing secure and quality crypto services to users across the continent. Other Binance fiat and crypto channels, products and services in Africa remain active and available – including fiat on-ramps on Binance.com in Uganda, Nigeria and South Africa and Binance P2P in Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa. How to Buy Bitcoin with Ghana Cedi (GHS)/ in Ghana

Deposit

Users can make a Ghana Cedi (GHS) deposit with Mobile Money (MTN Mobile Money, AirtelTigo Money and Vodafone Cash)

The user needs to enter the amount, email address, select a network provider and enter their phone number. Click ‘Continue’ to make payment.

Next, they have to enter an OTP which is sent via SMS and What’s App.

After that, the user will receive a prompt on the mobile device asking them to confirm the transaction from their mobile money account to Binance.

When the payment is complete, the deposit will be made to your wallet.

Purchase Bitcoin

Click on ‘Buy Crypto’ on the top right corner and select ‘Buy with Cash Balance’

Select GHS as your preferred Fiat currency and BTC as your preferred cryptocurrency. Enter the amount of Ghana Cedi (GHS) you want to spend on buying bitcoin and click ‘Buy Bitcoin’.

On the next page, review the rate to see how much bitcoin you will receive and click ‘Confirm’.

When the transaction is completed, the BTC will be deposited into your wallet.
